Sankranthi celebrations in the SF Bay area saw us perform a mad-ad for "Gopal Hallupudi". I was a part of writing the script and directing the play. Since we were performaing in front of a mature audience, we had to mellow down from good old college days to keep all vulgarity and double meaning jokes out. The script came out to be quite good and lots of people appreciated our performance. I actually freaked out when one person pulled out her car right next to me when I was walking in the parking lot, but felt very happy when she told me "tumba chennagittu ri.. nim programmu..". Apparently a famous performing artist from the Bay Area also had some good things to say about us!
